What Is Online Notary

Online Notary is like a digital notary office where you can get your documents notarized without going there in person. It is a digital service that allows any person or business to notarize legal documents virtually using our secure process. Instead, you use your phone or computer to talk to the notary over the internet.

It's a new way of notarizing documents that's fast, easy, and legal while remaining secure.

You might also hear online notarizations referred to as:

-Remote Online Notarization (RON),

-Virtual Notarization,

-Digital Notarization, or

-Internet Notarization.

Benefits of Online Notary

  1. Security

For the security of your personal data and documents, we implement KBA (Knowledge Based Authentication) technology. We retain your personal details only for the legally mandated period before securely erasing them. Additionally, we rigorously verify the identity of all signers to maintain the notarized document's trustworthiness. This identity verification process is a critical step in thwarting fraud, offering a dependable and secure method for executing notarization transactions.

  1. Ease

Our online notary procedure is straightforward! We simplify the process into manageable steps and provide clear instructions. You can finish the entire process quickly, offering you convenience and saving you from any trouble.

  1. Accessibility

Online notary enables document notarization right from the comfort of your home or office, enhancing the convenience and accessibility of notarization services. This eliminates the necessity for individuals or businesses to visit a physical site for their notarization needs.

Is Online Notary Legal in Texas?

Yes, using Online Notary to notarize your documents is legal in Texas. It has been since 2018 in which Texas was the third state to add remote online notarization as a legal notary option.

Online Notary laws in Texas

-Texas Online Notarization Law: In Texas, remote online notarization is legal thanks to Chapter 406, Subchapter C of the Texas Government Code. This means notaries can work from anywhere online, with all the same legal powers as in-person notaries. They just need a special online commission and to follow the rules for online notarization.

-Out-of-State Notarizations: Texas is cool with notarizations done online by notaries from other states. This is backed by Chapter 602 of the Texas Government Code. Plus, the Full Faith and Credit Clause of the U.S. Constitution makes sure a notarization from any state works in Texas too.

-Digital Signatures: The U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act gives the thumbs up to digital signatures. That means an electronic signature is just as official as writing your name on paper.

How Much Does Online Notary Cost in Texas?

Based on regulations, Texas Government Code Section 406, remote online notary fees can cost a cap of $25 per seal in addition to the regularly notary charges. Please view our pricing below for more detailed information.
